Juniper Baby Jacket

pattern price: $4.50

I wanted to design something that our little Eleanor could wear outdoors this summer, as even in the summertime the weather can still be pretty cool out here in England. With that in mind, Juniper Baby Jacket was born. Knit in a soft cotton/acrylic blend, this jacket is warm but not too hot. The chunky yarn makes it a very fast little baby project, while the cables along the front edge, on the back and on the sleeves keep it fun to knit. When I designed this we did not yet know whether we'd be having a boy or a girl, so I picked neutral colors, but this cardigan would be very cute in traditional boy or girl colors as well.

Juniper Baby Jacket is knit from the top down, back and forth on a circular needle, with the sleeves worked on double pointed needles (so no seaming!). The pattern comes in sizes 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and 18 months. (It's shown in size 3 months).
